Tasty Tuesday - Chocolate Chip Zucchini Cake

This super easy recipe may sound a bit startling at first (seriously, zucchini and cake?), but it is one of my husband's favorite childhood recipes.

1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup oil
1 3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sour milk (you can make the milk sour by adding a small amount of vinegar)

Mix the above ingredients, then add the following ingredients:

2 1/2 cups flour
6 Tablespoons cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 cups zucchini, grated

Place cake mix in a greased 9x13 cake pan and top with chocolate chips.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

I think the only way I could my DH to eat this is if he doesn't see what the ingredients are - lol!

I make these brownies all the time, but I've never used sour milk in my recipe. I'll have to try that.
