How to make your own bath salts

 You will need:
A jar to store your bath salts in
Epsom Salt
Baking Soda
Essential Oils (I used lavender)
Food coloring
Add a cup and a half of Epsom salt to a bowl, followed by 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Stir well. Add the essential oils, a couple of drops at a time until your are happy with the scent. In my experience 5 or 6 seems to be just about right, if you want a moderate scent. Use about 8 for a stronger scent or about 3 for a mild scent. Then add two or three drops of food coloring, mixing until the color is spread throughout the entire mixture. I have never had any problems with the food coloring dying the skin or such, so I continue to use it.
Add to a little bottle and you have yourself some homemade bath salts. Now go pamper yourself!

That's clever, and as a soap maker, I have quite a stock of essential oils! Thanks. :-)

Hmmm . . . I've made bath salts before but never thought of adding food coloring. I would have thought it would have added a bit of a twinge to your skin so I'm glad you mentioned that you've never noticed that . . . does it color the water a little bit though?

Thanks for adding this to the blog hop!
