Saving Dishes with Individual Water Bottles

When I am faced with a sink full of dishes at our house, it has some plates, pots and pans and every cup in the cupboard. It is like a sea of never ending cups. It drives me completely crazy. I will never understand why we feel like we have to use every cup we own, everyday.

After watching the cup activity for a few days, I discovered that the kids were the culprits. I tried getting each one a cup in the morning and making them use it all day, that went out the window really fast when I couldn't remember which cup was which.

I finally ran to the store and bought each one a water bottle. I cut out vinyl of each of their names and applied it to the water bottle. I filled them up and made a special space in the door of the fridge for them. The result has been so fantastic that I wonder why I didn't do this long ago. We use fewer cups and every time one of them wants a drink, I don't have to help them anymore, they just get a drink and put their bottle back in the door. Having the bottles in an easy to reach place means we can always find them and the kids can get to them all by themselves.

One annoying habit down, about a million to go. What do your kids do that drive you crazy?
