Witchy Craft with a Witchy Giveaway (Crafty Wood Cutouts)

I have been seeing these cute wood letter crafts every where. I have wanted one forever, but I couldn't figure out where everybody was getting them. My skills with a saw are on about the same level as my skills as a mechanic – I leave it to people who can do it right without getting hurt. Every time I have gone to a new craft store I have kept my eyes open and I finally found the store responsible for these fabulous creations: Crafty Wood Cutouts in Orem, UT.
Crafty Wood Cutouts has a little bit of everything when it comes to wood decor. They have crafts such as my witch letters precut for you to buy, or if you want to make something a little more personal, you can buy individual letters and numbers. They have everything to get you on your way to finishing your craft, including paint and paper.

My favorite thing about their store is the little kids area, complete with a TV and coloring pages for the littles ones so you can take your time picking out your favorites. Nervous to make the crafts alone? They offer classes to make specific crafts. The class fee gets you everything to make the class and instruction.
The store has so many fun crafts. My favorites include the little owls and the wicked letters. I wasn't sure how I was going to pick just one, and then I saw this Witch craft. I loved the little broom stick so much that I was sold.
To finish my Witch craft, I used paint, scrapbook paper, Modge Podge and some little embellishments, including orange ribbon and this little spider and witches hat.
I used brown, yellow, orange and black to paint the letters.
First I painted every other letter black: the W, T and H. I painted the C orange and painted the broom yellow and brown to look like a broom.
After the letters were dry, I decoupaged paper onto my black letters. To do this, lay the letter backwards on the back side of your scrapbook paper. Trace the letter with pencil onto the paper.
If you want to be able to see a little bit of the black edge on your letters, when you cut out you paper letters, cut just inside the pencil marks, like below.
Decoupage the paper onto the letters. I used a piece of orange paper with little witches on it for my W and then added the little tiny witch hat to the top of the letter. I used spider-web paper for the H and topped it off with the little beaded spider.
This craft was pretty easy to complete and came together just like I wanted it to. It is a really fun addition to my Halloween decor.

Want one of your own? You can pick one up at 631 N. 1200 W in Orem, UT, or buy them online here. Feeling Lucky? Crafty Wood Cutout is being kind enough to give one of you lucky readers an unfinished Witch craft of your own to decorate! Enter the giveaway below.
