Grandway Designer Apron Giveaway

One of the very first sewing projects I ever tackled was an apron. I have worn that apron with crooked seams for years and while it has done the job, I never really loved it. It worked, but it wasn't cute. I have been looking for a cute and functional apron ever since. I finally found it in Grandway's Designer Aprons. 

When I received my apron in the mail, I opened the box and my husband asked if I had bought a new dress. It really does look like a vintage dress instead of what we typically associate as a dowdy kitchen apron. While I loved how the apron looked, I waited to pass judgement until I put it through some tests. For an apron to work for me, it needs to pass two tests: the bacon test and the baking test.

Bacon is the food that always ruins my clothes whenever I am not wearing an apron and sometimes even when I am. It always splashes up. I made bacon for dinner wearing the apron to see the kind of protection it would give my clothes. I was a little worried about the v-neck design, but I didn't have any problems. It worked like a charm. 

I am an extremely messy baker. Extremely. I end up with flour everywhere and I am always wiping my hands on my apron. I baked some cookies to see how well my clothes would hold up under this apron. Once again, I was pleased with the results. I really have found an apron that is cute and functional.
