Whenever the grand kids all get together at my mom's house, one of their favorite things to do is make coloring book t-shirts. These t-shirts are perfect for just about any age that can trace a simple drawing. It keeps the younger kids occupied coloring and the older kids love the chance to have a personalized t-shirt that they made all by themselves.
You will need:
- a plain white shirt
- coloring books
- masking tape
- a piece of cardboard or foam core
- fabric markers
Trace the picture onto the shirt using a black fabric marker. After the picture is traced, coloring in the shirt just like you would any other coloring page. Make sure to use fabric markers so the picture will stay after many washing and wearings. I love the Sharpie fabric markers, you can find them here.
After your child is done coloring the picture, remove the shirt from the cardboard and it is ready to wear. The kids love the shirts and I love that it is a completely electronic free afternoon!
