There is nothing that makes me more cautious than being pregnant. Most of the time, I drink my fair share of Diet Coke and eat more than my fair share of Oreos. When I am pregnant, I strive really hard to eat as healthy as possible and keep artificial things out of my diet and my beauty routine.
Personally I avoid caffeine, medication of any kind unless absolutely necessary, dyeing my hair, artificial sweeteners and bleaching my teeth. For me, if there is a question about a product, I try to avoid it, it is always better to be safe than sorry.
I was surprised when I found this infographic, that lists all of the toxins and chemicals that can be in your personal care products. Some of the information I knew, such as avoiding hair dyes, but who knew that 60% of lipsticks contain detectable levels of lead?
