Do you have any Pokémon fans in your house? My girls are obsessed. Both of them frequently walk around in Pikachu pajamas speaking like a Pikachu. When I started my no carve pumpkin quest this year, my older daughter kept asking me for a Poké Ball. I finally realized a Poké Ball might literally be the easiest pumpkin ever to make and I caved, coming up with this fun and easy take. It is truly such an easy pumpkin that I could have had my 8-year-old make it all by herself. If you have any questions, I do have a video of the entire process below.

Start my taping off the center of your pumpkin for the stripe in the middle. You will need to tape above and below where the stripe is going to be. It is better to tape in small pieces of tape rather than one large piece. This will help the lines stay straighter.

Once you have taped around the entire pumpkin, paint in between the two pieces of tape black. After the black dries, peel off the tape. Paint everything above the black line red and everything below the black line white.
Cut a circle out of card stock or poster board and outline it in black paint. When the pumpkin and the circle are dry, hot glue the circle to the front of your pumpkin. If you want your Poké Ball to have a shiny finish instead of matte, simply finish your pumpkin off by spraying it with a clear varnish.
