31 Days Of Photo Props: Hat Boxes

 When a baby is no longer a newborn, but not quite sitting up on their own, it is always a struggle to find cute, safe pictures. You can sit them up and hope that mom and dad can catch them if they fall, or you can find props that help them sit on their own. I prefer the later.

Hat boxes are some of my favorite props for the unsteady sitter. They are cute and make a statement and they don’t look like they are being used to prop up a baby. Simply place the baby inside the hat box, with their back supported by the back of the box and prop the lid of the box against the side.

A lot of times with the hat box photos, I will use strands of pearls too. Just to give it a fun element!
