Try out these four Cinnamon Roll Hacks to take your can of cinnamon rolls to a whole new level. Perfect for parties, breakfast, or Sunday morning brunch.
Cinnamon Roll Hacks
If there is one thing my daughter loves for breakfast, it is Pillsbury Grands!™ Cinnamon Rolls. Her favorite mornings are Saturdays because they’re full of cartoons and the smell of baking cinnamon. I love making her a batch of regular cinnamon rolls and then spicing up a batch with apples, syrup, or even breakfast sausage. Cinnamon rolls are such a versatile breakfast food. You can make almost anything with them.
Here are four of my favorite ways to “hack” a can of Pillsbury Grands!™ Cinnamon Rolls and turn it into a new family favorite. My favorite is the Breakfast Pigs in a Blanket, but they are all amazing.ng.
Cinnamon Roll Stuffed Apples
If you want a way to impress your brunch guests, these Cinnamon Roll Stuffed Apples are the perfect way to do it. They are soft, creamy, and absolutely gorgeous. They look like flowers when completely baked and are quite the impressive way to serve a cinnamon roll.
You will need:
- Pillsbury Grands!™ Refrigerated Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing
- Granny Smith Apples
Slice the top one-third off each of your apples. I always use Granny Smith apples because the tart of the apple pairs really nicely with the sweet of the cinnamon roll. You want to cut deep enough into the apple that you can see the star-like pattern on the inside.
Use a spoon (a grapefruit spoon is fantastic for this) to scoop out the inside of the apple.
Take a cinnamon roll and stuff it inside the apple. It will come out of the apple more in the center than the sides, but this is what helps it look like a flower.
Bake the apples at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and the apples are soft. Spread the cream cheese frosting on top of the entire thing. I love to heat up the frosting just a little bit so I can drizzle the frosting over the top.

If you love the idea of the Cinnamon Roll Stuffed Apples, but want something a little easier to execute, try these Apple Stuffed Cinnamon Rolls. Instead of stuffing the cinnamon rolls into the apples, you will stuff the cinnamon rolls full of diced apples.

When I first saw someone do this with cinnamon roll dough, I was convinced it wouldn’t work. I was wrong. We absolutely love these easy and perfect cinnamon roll waffles.
Cinnamon Roll Waffles
You will need:
- Pillsbury Grands!™ Refrigerated Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing
- A Waffle Iron
Pull two cinnamon rolls from the canister and put them in opposite corners of the waffle iron.
Close the waffle iron tight. Watch the waffles closely. They need to cook longer than a normal waffle to be cooked all the way through. Be patient, it is worth it.
