Easy Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Is there anything that says romance quite like Chocolate Covered Strawberries? I have looked at the prices to buy a dozen strawberries and the price is unreal! Making your own chocolate strawberries seems intimidating but it is actually incredibly easy. All you need is some chocolate, some strawberries and access to a microwave and you will have the perfect gift for your significant other this Valentine’s Day! If you have any questions, watch the video below!

  • White Chocolate Melting Chocolate
  • Parchment Paper

Easy Chocolate Covered Strawberries  - Melted Chocolate

First wash and dry your strawberries. It is very important that you dry them completely to help the chocolate stick. Place a handful of chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and microwave the chocolate for 30 seconds. Stir the chocolate even though it is still very firm. Microwave it for another 30 seconds and then stir again. Repeat until your chocolate is completely melted.

Grab the top of your strawberry and gently twist the leaves together, giving you something to hold on to while you dip the strawberry in chocolate. Roll the strawberry in the melted chocolate until most of the red of the strawberry is covered in chocolate.

Gently shake the excess chocolate off of the strawberry and place it on a piece of parchment paper to dry and set. Repeat with your other strawberries.

Easy Chocolate Covered Strawberries  - White Chocolate Drizzle

For the white chocolate drizzle, put a handful of white chocolate in a ziploc bag. Microwave the bag for 30 seconds and kneed it after it is finished. Repeat the process until the chocolate is completely melted. Snip a small hole in the corner of the bag and then drizzle small stripes of chocolate over the strawberries after they have set for about 10 minutes.

You can then put the strawberries in the fridge to set, I prefer to just let them set on my counter top but you can do whatever works for you time frame.

I associate chocolate covered strawberries with Valentine’s Day. When I lived in a different city, there was a chocolatier that specialized in them. The strawberries were huge and so sweet.

Omg, that was so easy! Do you know I paid $40+ to have 6 delivered to my boyfriend two years ago? I wish I knew they were this easy to make.
