Easy Jack-O’-Lantern Quiet Book Page with Pattern

September 5, 2013 by Wifeeclectic 7 Comments

We absolutely love our quiet book. We take it to church and it makes a huge difference in how well my 4-year-old sits still. A little while ago, I starting making new pages for the book and a Jack-O’-Lantern page seemed like the perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit.

You will need:
Felt in orange, brown and black
Scissors
fabric glue or needle and thread, or a sewing machine

This is the perfect quiet book page for a beginner, because it is almost all cutting and hardly any sewing.

Pin the pumpkin pattern (at the bottom of the post) to the orange felt and cut out. Cut out the stem. Either sew them to a sheet of black felt or use fabric glue.

Cut a rectangle of black felt and sew it to the front of the page below the pumpkin. Sew only three side, this will leave a place for you to be able to store your pieces.

Print the face patterns and cut each piece out from black felt. Make all sorts of different pumpkin faces and when you are done, store the pieces in the page pocket.

This is a great idea! Too bad my little guy won't be able to use it this year. It was great to see you and hope you are well!
