For as long as I can remember, I have joked with my husband that I am going to run away and join the circus. I am kind of thrilled that I actually can now. Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus are offering people the opportunity to be in the show!
Auditions for clowns for the Salt Lake City show are Wednesday, Sept. 23rd from 10 AM -1:30 PM at The Energy Solutions Arena. To register for an audition please visit Ringling.com/clownauditions.
Here is what you need to know before auditioning: Auditionees must be 18 or older and come prepared to show a 3-5 minute routine. This routine should display exaggerated facial expressions and body language, showcase any unique physical skills (juggling, unicycle riding, gymnastics, etc.) and demonstrate an understanding of their comedy, a sense of personality and a true desire to become a member of the world famous, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Clown Alley.
Auditionees should not wear any clown makeup and should not wear any costumes. Loose, comfortable clothing should be worn. It is preferred, but not required, that you bring a headshot and a resume to your audition.
Here is the information on the circus itself!

So….. are you going to be the next Circus Clown?
Oh Boy! This looks like lots of fun and definitely a great family experience!
How fun!
How fun!
I did know that they did auditions for that! Sounds like fun!
Oh to be a fly on the wall during those auditions, lol!
This sounds like so much fun! Something I'd love to experience!
I have a fear of clowns…so probably not 🙂
It would be fun if they televised the auditions and rehearsals the way the NFL does their training camps.
I don't have any clown skills (juggling, unicycling riding, etc). But I bet the auditions would be fun to watch!
Wow, wouldn't that be wild to be a clown? I bet they get to see some interesting things! I hadn't heard that the circus would be in SLC, but I'm going to try and make it down there (I live in SE Idaho). Sounds fun!
This is so cool! I love the circus and that's so much fun they are having tryouts. I wouldn't make a great performer, but I sure would love to take my nieces. I'll have to take them. Can't wait!
How much fun would it be to be in the circus? I wish I lived closer so I could check it out!!
