I love St. Patrick’s Day an unreasonable amount. From dressing my kids in head to toe green and cooking a completely green dinner, I can go a little over the top. This year I am reeling it back in a bit but we are still having a blast creating crafts and decorating with everything green or rainbow. We created three different easy handprint crafts to celebrate.
For this craft you will need:
- Green Paint
- Orange Paint
- Tan Paint
- Google Eyes
- Black Marker
- Sturdy Paper
- Foam Brush
Cover your child’s hand in the tan paint. Add the orange paint on the fingers and the edges of the hang. Push it gently onto the paper. After the handprint has dried, add a smile, google eyes and a green hat on top.
For this craft you will need:
- Green Paint
- Orange Paint
- Red Paint
- Yellow Paint
- Blue Paint
- Purple Paint
- Sturdy Paper
- Foam Brush
Use the foam brush to cover your child’s hand in red paint, gently press it onto the paper on the far left side. Continue across the paper in the colors of the rainbow. Since I did this rainbow project with both of my kids, I alternated every other hand. I absolutely love it!
For this craft you will need:
- Green Paint
- Sturdy Paper
- Foam Brush
Use the brush to cover your child’s hand in green paint. Push it gently on the paper with the fingers going towards one of the corners. Repeat for each corner. The shamrock looks the best if there is some space left in the middle so don’t put the hands right on top of each other. Add a green stem to finish the painting.
Do you do anything to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?
