This Strawberry Poppyseed Salad is the perfect salad full of delicious strawberries, nits, cheese and topped with a homemade strawberry poppyseed dressing.
I am a salad addict. I don’t love just any old salad, I want a salad with all of the fixings. The problem is, often times I can’t eat through all of the produce I use in salads before it goes bad and that makes making salads at home more expensive and kind of wasteful. Rubbermaid has just come out with new containers that feature a brand new technology that fixes this problem so all at home salad eaters can rejoice! Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver is a brand new kind of food container that used patented FreshVentTM technology which keeps produce fresher for up to 80% longer than traditional packaging*. It has a built in lid that features a Rubbermaid FreshVent™ l,which naturally regulates the flow of oxygen and CO2, in and out of the container to create the optimal environment for your produce. The CrispTrayTM at the bottom elevates produce away from moisture and promotes proper airflow to help reduce spoilage.
Since discovering FreshWorks, I have gone back to eating salads every day for lunch. I keep all of the ingredients chopped and in separate containers in the fridge so I can just throw it together at lunch time. This Strawberry Poppyseed Salad is one of my favorites, full of gorgeous green and flavor with the perfect homemade dressing. Learn how to make it below!
Strawberry Poppyseed Salad
This dressing is light and a great combination of dressing and fruit. I love putting in on any salad, not just this one!
For the Strawberry Poppyseed Dressing :
- 1/2 C. Olive Oil
- 1/3 C. Sugar
- 1/3. C Vinegar
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1 T. poppyseeds
- 2-4 strawberries chopped
All of the ingredients for the dressing to a blender and blend until smooth.
Add all of the dressing to a mason jar for easing serving and storage.
For the Salad:
- Greens ( I like a 50/50 mix of spinach and field greens)
- slice strawberries
- feta cheese
- chopped pecans
- strawberry poppyseed dressing
Assemble the salad by putting your green in a bowl and then topping it with strawberries, cheese, nuts and the dressing. If you have any leftovers, store in a FreshWorks container for a longer lasting salad.
Did you know that Americans throw away $24 billion worth of produce every year? That equals out to be about $192 per household.** That is insane! Help reduce the amount of waste by transferring your store produces from the packing to a FreshWorks Produce Saver refrigerate and enjoy your produce up to 80% longer*.
Now what about these containers? Do they need pricey filters? Nope! The lid filter lasts a lifetime, no replacements needed. They are dishwasher safe and they are made in the USA of global components, BPA-free. The are now available in six different sizes.
Lare Square (11.1 Cups): Perfect for Tomatoes
Long Rectangle (8.4 Cups): Great for asparagus or zucchini
Small Rectangle (4.0 Cups): Will keep your green beans fresh.
Small (2.5 Cups): Ideal for small berries.
Medium (6.3 Cups): Perfect for strawberries.
Large (17.3 Cups): Optimal for leafy greens.
What would you store in your Rubbermaid FreshWorks Container?
*Based on strawberries in FreshWorks™ containers vs. store packaging. Results may vary depending upon produce and use.

Omg this looks delicious! I’m definitely going to make this. I LOVE strawberries in my salads and I love making them at home, but I feel like they’re a waste if I don’t finish them because they always go bad in my tupperware. I’ll have to look at the ones you mentioned!

That salad sounds so good. I don’t think I have ever had strawberries in a salad before, but there is a first time for everything, right?
