Fusion foods are some of the most enjoyable to make and eat. And today’s recipe for Thai Influenced Steak Tacos is no exception.

If you’re a fan of fish tacos, you’ll love these. While the meat is vastly different from fish tacos, the toppings are similar. And they’re so tasty.

INGREDIENTS
1 lb. boneless New York strip steak
1/4 Cup soy sauce
1/4 Cup vinegar
2 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp fish sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 lime, juice and zest
1/2 Cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp sriracha
Corn tortillas
Coleslaw
1-2 radishes, halved and thinly sliced
1/4 bunch cilantro

PREPARATION

  1. Prepare a marinade for the meat by by whisking together the vinegar, soy sauce, fish sauce, honey, sesame oil and lime zest and juice. Pour the marinade over the steak in a large Ziplock bag and refrigerate 3-4 hours.
  2. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill on a medium-hot grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and allow the meat to rest for 5 minutes before thinly slicing.
  3. Prepare the sauce by combining the mayo and hot sauce in a small bowl. Add more or less sriracha to achieve desired taste and heat.
  4. Assemble the tacos by placing the steak strips on warm corn tortillas. Top with coleslaw, sliced radishes and the sriracha mayo. Finish with cilantro.

This meal is light, yet filling. The steak is flavorful and the coleslaw adds a great crunch. Don’t skimp on the sriracha mayo. It kicks these tacos up a notch. This is a perfect dish for warm summer nights. So go out, kick up your grill and enjoy some tacos.

These sound oh so good. I never heard of using fish seasoning to make a marinade for beef-I really have to try this one. I would have to go very easy on the heat–my tummy just can't tolerate it anymore sorrowfully enough.
