  • 3 C. milk
  • 3 T. Corn Starch
  • 3 T. Margarine or Butter soft
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • Velveeta or other cheese my mom always uses Velveeta but I have used other cheeses too.
  • Potatoes I use about 4 large potatoes
  • leftover ham slices the amount depends on how much meat you want in your dish. You can do tons, or my sister even does it completely meatless.

  • Peel and cook your potatoes.
  • Cut them up into slice and layer into a dish with your leftover ham that you have sliced.
  • You can also use the prepackaged ham cubes, if you don't make a full ham that often.
  • Combine the other ingredients into a sauce. I like to whisk them all together.
  • Add as much or as little cheese as you want.
  • Pour the sauce over the dish.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until bubbly.

This recipe makes a medium size casserole. To make a large casserole, use 6 or 7 large potatoes. and Use 5 cups of milk, 5 T. cornstarch and 5 T. softened butter. Adjust the rest of the ingredients to your taste.
