10+ Easy Valentines, One Free Printable Tag

Valentine's Day is fast approaching! If you're looking for a cute and easy Valentine, I've got 10+ ideas that can all be used with the same free printable tag. You're welcome :)

(And you can also check out more cute printables and crafts here.)

(or if you are a tightwad like me and only print in grayscale - you can get the black and white version here)

There are two different page formats (both in the same file, just print page 1 or 2)

4 per page -- fold in half, trim the front panel (if desired) and tape the sides to make envelope-style treat holders

and 10 per page -- cut apart into regular tags for tying, taping, or stapling onto treats. (Or you could print on sticker sheets, too.)

So now, just choose your treat! Here are the dozen or so that I thought of -- but I'm sure there are many more perfectly punny gifts to tell your valentine "Thanks for sticking with me!"

10+ Easy Valentine Gifts for Kids to Give

Free Printable Valentine Tag with 10+ Easy Gift Ideas - WikkiStix

1. WikkiStix (similar to Bendaroos)
These are what started the whole "sticky" Valentine idea in my head. I picked these up for a screaming deal on Amazon a few weeks ago, but even at their regular price they aren't terribly expensive, and my kids love them. And to be honest, I do too! (And no one asked or is paying me to say that, I just really like them!)

The favor pack I linked you to comes with activity sheets that the bendable wax stick/string things stick right on (and can be reused on other pages, or made into sculptures or whatever). They are really a perfect little treat or gift for kids!

Free Printable Valentine Tag with 10+ Easy Gift Ideas - glow sticks

2. Glow Sticks
I love that you can find glow sticks at the dollar store or craft store year-round! Just print, cut out, and punch holes to stick the glow stick through. Use a heart punch for extra cute, or if you, er, lost your regular hole punch.... (This would also be cute with a pixie stick candy.)

(You could also use this cute printable that Debra made if you have kids who want different style tags while giving the same treat.)

Free Printable Valentine Tag with 10+ Easy Gift Ideas - gum

3. Gum
Either a small pack or a single stick fits perfectly in the little envelope, and I just used washi tape to tape the edges of the envelope. Regular tape would work, but washi tape is always better, of course.

Free Printable Valentine Tag with 10+ Easy Gift Ideas - stickers

4. Stickers
What kid doesn't love stickers? Just staple, tape, or paper-clip the tag on and you're good to go!

Free Printable Valentine Tag with 10+ Easy Gift Ideas - sticky hand type toy

5. Sticky Hand (or Frog)
I couldn't find any sticky hands, but a sticky tongue frog thrilled the littles at my house! I just stuck the bubble container in a small favor bag (from the dollar store) and stapled the trimmed tag right on top.

Free Printable Valentine Tag with 10+ Easy Gift Ideas - sucker

6. Sucker or Cake Pop
Fold and tape the 4-per-page tag into an envelope to hold a sucker (both smaller Dum-Dums and larger Tootsie Pops fit)

or print the smaller tag and tie it on the stick of a sucker of any size (or a pretzel rod would work great, too)

or punch holes and slide it right on a giant lollipop stick. (Either the larger or smaller tag will work for this one.)

Free Printable Valentine Tag with 10+ Easy Gift Ideas - washi tape

7. Washi Tape
I love washi tape, and I love sharing washi tape with people -- but I suppose you could be practical and give duct tape or regular tape to your favorite teacher, too.

Free Printable Valentine Tag with 10+ Easy Gift Ideas - sticky notes

8. Sticky Notes

Perfect for kids and adults, and it doesn't get much easier than taping a tag on a pack of sticky notes!

Free Printable Valentine Tag with 10+ Easy Gift Ideas - lip balm/chapstick

9. Lip Balm (Chapstick)
Just pop it in the folded

Free Printable Valentine Tag with 10+ Easy Gift Ideas - magnet board or game

10. Magnet, Magnet Board, or Magnetic Game
I used a magnet board I already had around my house for the picture, but you could easily make a cookie sheet magnet board, use one of the magnetic white boards or magnetic games that you can find at most dollar stores, or just bag up the tag with some fun magnets like these or these  -- and I love these!

Other "sticky" valentine ideas:

  • string cheese (aka "cheese stick" at my house)
  • glue stick
  • pixie sticks
  • honey sticks
  • vinyl decals for walls
  • window clings
  • suction cup dart/game
  • 3M hooks/poster strips or sticky-tack wall adhesive (for teachers)
Happy Valentine's Day!

This is really a very good idea! And it is easy. You could even make a different one for each of your child's classmates.
