Bunny Hand Print Art

I may be a little obsessed with hand print art. There is just something about seeing my sweet little ones's hand prints hanging on my wall that make me smile. I did a whole series of hand print art for Christmas that I proudly display across my piano and I was so sad when I had to finally put it away. I wanted something to hang for Easter and came up with these darling little bunnies. They were really easy to make, well as easy as painting a toddler's hand ever is, and they turned out so cute!

You will need:

  • a colored canvas or a white canvas and paint
  • white paint
  • sponge brush
  • pink paint
  • a black marker
  • wet wipes
I usually sit with my toddler in my lap and the canvas on the floor in front of us. I use a sponge brush to paint her hand completely white and then press it down onto the canvas. The trickiest part about this hand print art is that you need the fingers separated vulcan style. I used both hands and held her two fingers together on each side.

After the white hand prints dry completely, take a small dab of pink paint and make a triangle in the center of the palm. Fill in the gap between the two fingers with pink for the years. Set aside to dry again.

After the pink has dried add eyes, a mouth and whiskers with a sharpie.
I am going to be very sad the day my girls are too big for hand print art, so I am going to enjoy it every holiday while I can!

Aww! Those are adorable! Sharing this with my day home friends. One family is expecting their third so this would be so sweet with all of the kids hands together.

These are too cute! I would've never thought about making hand-print bunnies. I'll try it with my toddler today when he wakes up from his nap he loves painting so this should be fun for him. Thank you for sharing!

Handprint art is such a fun and creative way to make memories with your children. I would love to do this every year with my boys to compare how their hands grow from year to year.
