My girls LOVE making Father’s Day presents for their dad’s every year. It always involves a lot of coloring and glue, because what would a good craft project be without either? Today I have pulled together four of our favorite gifts that we have put together for our dad. They are all easy and can be put together by any age with a little help.
Dad Frame
You will need:
- the printable at the end of this post
- scissors
- crayons or colored pencils
- pictures
- tape
Print the printable frame on cardstock. Give your kids crayons or colored pencils and let them color in the frame for dad.
Cut the frame out as well as the centers of the letters.
Find pictures that work in the frame and then cut them to fit into the frame. Tape the pictures to the back of the frame.
Tie Candy Bag
You will need:
- the printable at the end of this post
- a gallon size bag
- hot glue
- small candies that fit inside the tie
Print the printable at the end of this post on cardstock. Cut out both pages to look like the picture below.
Glue the back of the tie to the back of the plastic bag. Glue the front of the tie to the front of the bag. Cut the tie out and then glue the tie together, leaving a spot at the top to put the candy inside. Fill the tie up with candy and then glue the last opening together.
Family Handprint
You will need:
- Cardstock in different colors
- scissors
- a pen
- glue
Trace everyone in your family’s hand on a different colored piece of cardstock. Make sure to trace the same hand on everyone, for instance everybody’s left hand. Cut the hands out of cardstock and then glue them layering on top of each other on another piece of cardstock. Add your family name and the year.
Photo Bookmarks
You will need:
- a picture of each child
- scissors
- laminator
- hole punch
- ribbon
Take a photo of your kids with their hands over the head. This pose will make it look like the kids are holding the ribbon for the bookmark. Crop the photos in tight on each child and then print them on cardstock.
Trim around each kid leaving little to no background and then punch a hole by their hands.
Laminate the photos and then trim them again. Punch a hole in the same place as the first hole and then tie a small piece of ribbon through the hole. Slip the bookmark into a new book for dad and you have a cute and practical gift!
Which of these are you going to make for your dad?
