4 Ways To Make Spring Cleaning Quicker

July 25, 2022 by Wifeeclectic Leave a Comment

Spring cleaning (which, of course, doesn’t have to happen in the springtime) is the big, annual deep clean that many people like to do within their homes. It’s a great time to make things fresh and clean, to remove anything you no longer need, and to settle into your home once more. Yet it’s not often a fun task, and it can even seem somewhat daunting when there is so much to do. Not only that, but it usually takes longer than most people plan for. With that in mind, here are some ways to make spring cleaning quicker.

Make A Plan

This may seem to be an obvious initial step, yet it is sometimes missed. Attempting to handle everything at once might be daunting and result in unfinished tasks. Make a list of the areas you intend to concentrate on and divide them into achievable tasks.

Make a note of everything that needs to be done, and then decide which rooms or areas you want to concentrate on first. This will help you in staying organized and on track during the deep cleaning process. When you see what you’ve ticked off the list, it will help to motivate you to keep going too.

Invest In Storage Solutions

Investing in storage solutions can expedite and simplify spring cleaning. When it comes to organizing your home, this could mean anything from expanding your closet to purchasing a new ottoman for your living room. In order to minimize clutter in the first place and to make cleaning up simpler when it’s time, you need to have areas where you can store your belongings.

Consider investing in storage solutions if you’re plagued by clutter. Keep your possessions out of the way by using items like baskets, bins, and shelving. If you have a lot of stuff that needs to be stored, investigate affordable self storage, as this can work very well indeed.

Get Some Help

When it comes to spring cleaning, there’s no shame in acknowledging that you need a little help. Ask a friend or member of your family to come over and help. You’ll be surprised at how much faster the job will get done with more people working on it.

Set Aside Time

This is likely the most important piece of advice on this list. If you don’t set aside time for spring cleaning, it’s likely that you won’t do it at all. Even if you can only give an hour or two, it’s better than nothing. Instead, give yourself time every day or every week to work on it. This might mean getting up a little earlier or setting aside some time on the weekend.

No matter what works best for you, make sure to set aside some time to clean. This will make this process seem less challenging and gives an opportunity to take breaks as needed.

Once you’ve set aside some time to clean, it’s important to make a schedule so you know precisely what needs to be done and when. This will help you stay on track and keep everything in order.
