This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of CORT for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
Right before my husband and I got married, we walked into a large furniture store. As we walked around my heart sank. We couldn’t afford anything in the store. We headed to the place with cheap furniture across the street and bought what we needed. Within a year or two everything we bought there was broken. I wish I had known about CORT Clearance Centers then. The furniture at CORT is more than discount furniture it is affordable but is high quality and built well. The furniture is up to 70% off the price of buying new and it is trendy things you actually want in your home. Here are my tips for getting the the most of out your budget at CORT.
Buy large artwork: CORT offers large pieces of artwork for a huge discount, some of the pieces I saw were as low as $19.99. It can be hard to fill the wall space of a new place and some gorgeous large pieces will make your house look complete faster than just about anything.
Buy in sets: One of the awesome things about CORT is that you can buy rooms by the set. For instance in the photo below, the sofa, chair and coffee table are all at set. It makes decorating each room a lot easier and way more afforable. I am absolutely in love with this couch and I am hoping to talk my husband into it!
Buy the whole house at once. CORT offers an awesome Instant Home To Go Package that lets you pick the furniture for a bedroom, living room and dinning room all for one great price. There are three different tiers of furniture so you can really get what you can afford all at once.
Find your accent pieces: Accent pieces can be outrageous priced at other places. I am completely in love with this darling yellow chair. It screams reading nook to me. I love that I can grab this as a room focal point and still have money left for the rest of the room.
Shop for your home office or business too: CORT Clearance Center doesn’t just have stuff for your living room, they have items for an amazing in home office or even your office at work for a fraction of the cost.
The best part is all of the pieces are CORT Certified. It means that every piece is up to their high quality build standards and if you find a problem with any of your purchases within 90 days they will repair or replace it.
As a mom with young children, my husband and I have avoided buying nice furniture while our children are still young because we don’t want to have to replace it all of the time. I have been thrilled with both the quality of the furniture at CORT and the prices and I look forward to replacing some of our old sad items soon. Especially our dinning room table!
To find your local clearance center, just head over here and then head to your nearest CORT, trust me, you will fall in love.

Wow, it looks like they have a GREAT selection there. I would love to head over there and pick out a few new things to refresh my home.
It looks like they have an awesome selection. WE are looking to redecorate our home soon, and it seems like such a daunting task.
I feel your pain in wanting the expensive stuff – or wanting a bunch of items that are not in your budget. These are great pieces at CORT and love the deals with them! That yellow accent chair!!
I love all these ideas! What a great selection, I will need to check them out once I update my house
I had no idea that there was one by me! I have been shopping for a sectional I am going to have to check them out!
Wow who knew! I wish these were closer to me because there seems like such a great variety of products that could go well in any room!
Looks like they have a lot of cute things! I love those chairs! I keep eyeing that type of chair at a place by me, but am going back and forth.
Love all the sets that you showed! It looks like they have great selections to make for perfect rooms.
I can't wait until we finally move into a home for longer than a year or two so we can REALLY think about decorating! Right now, decorating seems futile since we know it's temporary!
Awesome! I have been wanting to decorate for awhile now! Thanks for the great suggestions!
I've never even heard of Cort and was SOO excited when I found one an hour from my house up in Denver! Thank you for opening my eyes to such an amazing resource!
You've given such great tips and everything looks so beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Wow I never heard of these stores. I need to take a look for one near me! We just started some renovations around the house, so this would be perfect!
Great tips! I agreee that yellow chair is darling. I wasn't familiar with Cort, thanks!
Although we haven't got CORT here in the UK I've still found some great tips in this post, thank you for sharing;) xx
We're about to stage our house to sell and I think getting a few large pieces of art to simply things is a great idea!
As a military wife who could barely handle her busy schedule I am truly glad I came across your post. That's a very wonderful deal considering it's 70% off? Wow! That's incredible and those pieces are so stylish and perfect for home improvement!
Love the green colored chair, love retro! Looks like the place has a great selection of furniture!
What a great selections of furniture and decor. We dont have a Cort near me but I still got some tips and ideas.
This is a great selection of home decor! I can't wait to get my own place after university and decorate just how I want it – I'll definitely be budgeting though!
Furniture is an investment and sometimes those cheaper stores don't measure up with quality so you end up spending more again. I've never been to a CORT but I will be checking them out when I move since I need a bunch of new furniture.
I would rather go with the expensive stuff than risk having to buy a new one every single time. I think CORT is a great way to get quality furniture without breaking the bank!
Looks like they have some great options. I could never buy the whole house at once though. LOL.
WOW. I wish these clearance centers existed in the UK too. Although I love bargains, I much prefer to save for expensive furniture that will last – these places tick both boxes.
Decorating on a budget is right up my alley. I love sourcing quality home decor from thrift and consignment stores. Plus checking out places like Cort Clearance Centers too. Thanks for sharing!
