Candy Poppers for July 4th

July 1, 2013 by Wifeeclectic 3 Comments

One of our favorite traditions for the 4th of July is making Candy Poppers to bring to the fireworks with us. These festive poppers are meant to be broken open by pulling both sides of the tissue paper and they reveal a surprise of candy inside. They are perfect for the holiday!

You will need:

  •  Tissue Paper
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Tape
  • Things to decorate your poppers (I used glitter tape, but you can use markers or stickers.)
  • Candy

Measure your candy against your scrapbook paper, you just want to make sure you have enough room for all of your candy inside the popper. Cut a square of scrapbook paper, its size depending on your candy.

Measure your paper against your tissue paper. You want a little extra tissue paper on all sides.

Wrap your tissue paper around the candy and tape both ends. Wrap the scrapbook paper about your tissue paper and tape. Decorate your popper.

Save for the 4th of July and then let the kids go crazy popping them open and getting the candy inside.
