These little chocolate chick pretzels are so easy to make that even I can do them. They are delicious too, who doesn’t love a little chocolate with their pretzels?
Chocolate Chick Pretzels
My mom and sister are kind of cake and candy maker extraordinaire. They are always trying new and cute things for different holidays and I love helping them out, even thought I am nowhere near their baking level. These little guys are so easy to make that even I can do them. They are delicious too, who doesn’t love a little chocolate with their pretzels?
You will need:
- Pretzels
- Yellow Melting Chocolate
- Orange Decorating Gel
- Black Decorating Gel
Place a handful of yellow melting chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Stir the chocolate microwave in 30 second intervals stirring between each one until the chocolate is smooth.
Place the pretzels on wax paper and then use a spoon to fill the center of each pretzel with the yellow chocolate. Allow the chocolate to sit until it is completely set.
After the chocolate is set, peel the pretzels off the wax paper. Add a small dab of black gel to each pretzel to be an eye and a small dab of orange to be the beak of the pretzel. Allow the gel to set before plating or bagging them up.
I love gathering up a handful of these darling pretzels and putting them in cellophane bags to give to friends and neighbors.
