Diaper Blow Out Car Kit + Nominate A Cause

Here is what I keep in my diaper kit:

I keep a large stack of diapers in my kit, because it is in my car, I feel like I can carry more than I normally would, which means I have to think about refilling it less. I also keep two different types of wipes and a changing pad. I pack a full outfit for the baby, I try and find a single piece outfit to leave in the car, I often use a pair of pajamas if it is a cold time of year. I also include a simple t-shirt for myself in case I am in a place where I can’t get home to change easily.

In our case, blowouts and teething usually go hand in hand, so I carry around teething tablets and medicine too. A stain fighting pen will let you start fighting those stains before you even get home and a plastic sack will keep the dirty clothes from getting anything else dirty.

I found a small container at the dollar store to hold everything and then I added some glitter washi tape to the container because…. glitter. It is cute, functional and the best part is that it took only about 15 minutes to decorate the container AND pull the items together for the kit.

I love having everything I need close by, without necessarily having to carry it with me every where I go. Some other items to consider for your kit, a back up pacifier or sippy, small snacks and sunscreen.

Without them, breastfeeding my child wouldn’t have been possible and I will forever be grateful for the kindness, patience and many, many weigh ins.
