Doctor Who Lego Figure Necklace

Housewife Eclectic: Doctor Who Lego Figure Necklace
I have a confession to make. I love to collect things. There is something about looking for those last few pieces to a collection that I can’t get enough of. One of my absolute favorite collections is my Lego figures, especially the Doctor Who Micro Figures I have collected over the last year or so. Lego figures are so much fun because they are small, but carry so much impact in the details.
A few months ago, I was looking for a birthday gift for a fellow Whovian (people who love Doctor Who) and I knew she would love a necklace that embraced a favorite show. What better to put on a Doctor Who necklace than the doctor himself? This necklace is super simple to pull together and just takes the amount of time it takes the glue to dry. You can use any fun Lego figure, so the possibilities are endless.

You will need:

  • A Lego Figure (You can find the Doctor Who ones here)
  • A Pendant Bail
  • Necklace Chain
  • E-6000 or other glue

The first thing you want to do is pull your figure apart into separate pieces. Add a little bit of glue to each piece. You want to use as little glue as possible or else the pieces won’t fit back together tightly. Put the figure back together and allow to dry completely. When the figure is completely dry, gently tug on the different pieces to make sure everything is secure and won’t come apart while wearing.

Attach the jewelry bail to to the back of your Lego figure. For the best connection, you will want to attach the bail to the flattest part of the Lego Figurine, in a traditional blocky type figure, this should be pretty easy, in a non-traditional one, such as this, just look for the smoothest part of the figure.  Allow the bail to dry completely, add your necklace chain and enjoy your new funky piece of jewelry.

That's way fun! I've always been curious about Doctor Who but haven't ever watched it. I like this fun idea and could customize it to a bunch of different characters. Thanks for the idea!
