- permanent fabric markers
- washable fabric markers to gift with the present
- a coloring book page
- foam core or cardboard
- tape
- Hallmark Poster Cards, to make the gift extra special
Tape your coloring page to a sturdy surface such as cardboard or foam core.
Slide the shirt over top and start tracing. It helps to be in a lighted area. Make sure when you are tracing you are doing it with a permanent fabric marker. You don’t want this part to wash off.
Trace the outline of the coloring page, leaving anything extra to be colored in by little hands. Make sure to include washable fabric markers, so they can color in the picture.
Let your little artist color in the shirt to their heart’s content. Remember it is all going to come out in the wash, so they can really do whatever they want.
Let them wear their masterpiece!
Now, normally I think kids think that a card is the most boring part of a present, so I absolutely LOVE these new poster cards from Hallmark because they are a present in and of themselves. My daughter was thrilled to see that the card opened up into an entire poster, that was even bigger than she was. Just look at that face!
They have a great selection of these new poster cards at Walmart. The posters are seriously huge, taller than my 5-year-old and perfect for someone who wants to add a little extra to a gift. When you sign up for Hallmark Rewards you can earn rewards for the cards you buy from Walmart, with every five cards you buy, both #KidsCards and regular cards, you will earn a reward.
I absolutely love it when I find the perfect gift for someone and a shirt that my little artist can color over and over again paired with a card turned huge poster, is the perfect combination.
