Dry Erase Scrabble Menu

May 19, 2016 by Wifeeclectic 22 Comments

Scrabble Crafts are one of my absolute favorite things to make. They are easily quick to pull together and they have such a cute factor! Earlier this week, I did a live Facebook video with my daughter showing how to make five of our favorite Scrabble Crafts. Right after we finished the video we started getting requests for written instructions for the projects, so here is the first one! You can find the original video at the end of the post if you would rather watch!
This Dry Erase Scrabble Menu is one of my VERY favorite Scrabble project, probably only second to this Name Scrabble Bracelet. It comes together in just a couple of minutes and it makes menu planning so easy!

You will need:

  • a frame sort
  • scrapbook paper
  • a hot glue gun
  • a straight edge (ruler, popsicle stick)
  • Scrabble Tiles

Old Scrabble games you to be easy to find at thrift stores and yard sales but as Scrabble crafting has become more and more popular, it has become a lot harder! Your best bet it to order them from Amazon. You can usually get 200 tiles for less than $10. You will need the letters M-E-N-U and then two S tiles, two T tiles, one M (so two total), one w tile and one F tile.

Add a piece of cute scrapbook paper to your frame. About a half inch from the top, use a straight edge to hot glue the word Menu across the top of the frame. Glue the letters for the week down the side evenly spaced about a quarter inch in between each tile.

Grab a dry erase marker and get menu planning!

This is such a cute project! Could you imagine how many arguments would be stopped if Scrabble was magnetic to begin with. I mean how many times has someone ruined the tiles and every gets frustrated? You're a genius πŸ™‚

What a great idea this is. I think I might give this a shot and see how things go although I'm pretty sure we won't keep up with our menu. πŸ™‚

This is such a cute and creative idea. It's a great way to practice vocabulary skills with the kids too, on a daily basis.

What a fun project! I could use something like this, but we also change our minds about dinner quite often which doesn't help the cause. πŸ™‚
