Easiest Picture Garland Ever

November 14, 2014 by Wifeeclectic 15 Comments

Hello again! It’s Lorene from just Lu. Today’s project is a super easy paper garland — perfect for a birthday party, room decor, a Christmas tree, decorating your mantel — it can go anywhere, everywhere, anytime. So easy I’m not even sure I should call this a tutorial! 🙂

How to Make the Easiest Paper Garland EVER

Supplies

  • thumbnails of images, printed on cardstock (mine are 1.5” squares)
  • scissors
  • circle punch
  • twine
  • double-stick tape
  • (optional) colored cardstock

Cut out the squares and circles of your printed images, using scissors and the circle punch. I love this punch — it’s easy to see what you’re punching and easy to use without hand fatigue.

Tie a loop at the end of your twine. Decide how long you want your garland to be, and how far apart you want the images to be. Place a piece of double stick tape on one cut image, and another piece running the opposite way on another image or blank piece of carstock, and sandwich them on the twine. Continue doing this until you run out of images and/or reach the desired garland length. You can use colored cardstock between images if you’d like to make the garland longer without printing more images. Once you’ve reached the desired length, cut the twine and tie a loop to make hanging/draping easier.

Happy decorating,
Lorene

Thanks everyone! This would be perfect for Instagram photos! And easy to add a new section every year for the last year's photos, too. Merry Christmas!
