Easy Dalek Ornament

November 29, 2016 by Wifeeclectic 17 Comments

It is no secret that I am a huge Doctor Who fan. My purse look like a Tardis, my office is covered in Doctor Who memorabilia and even my favorite pair of shoes bear the Police Box logo. It only make sense that I have a Doctor Who Christmas tree. This tree is one of my absolute favorite things and I can’t wait to pull it out every year.
My fantastic friend made most of the pieces on the tree and every year I add to it with a couple of homemade ornaments and a few purchased ones. Today I am showing you the simple Dalek ornament, but if you love the rest of the tree, you can scroll to the bottom of this post to find more information on each piece.
This Red Dalek ornament is incredible easy to make and comes together in about five minutes. Yup! Five minutes. This ornament doesn’t have to be red, but the black bubble stickers are easiest to find, so try and use a color of Dalek that has black bubbles. You can read more about Dalek types here.

You will need:

  • a matte finish ornament (gold and red are great Dalek colors)
  • half bubble stickers

Place the black stickers in lines down the sides of your ornament. If you are worried about the stickers staying put, you can put a small amount of glue on the back of each sticker to make it stick. I added four lines of four each to each ornament.

Add a hook and hang it with the rest of your Doctor Who ornaments on your tree!

Is there anyone in your life who would love this ornament?

Oh yes! I have a few friends that love Doctor Who. One friend in particular would really love this ornament. She is going to flip when she sees this idea or maybe I should just make her one!

Very cute. I love the idea of having a tree with its own theme. Ours just has a mix of all the ornaments we had as children and that our children make, it is special but would love a new one at the front of the house.

Don't know if you are Chris Hardwick fan, but he has a Tardis in his home. It is pretty cool. He showed it on his Instagram account. I bet he would love this Dr Who themed Xmas too.

This is such a great way to save money on ornaments and to decorate your tree using a theme. I love how this ornament turned out and how easy it is to make.

What a cute, creative idea for an ornament! I never make ornaments, but I like the idea of making one based on a favorite show.

What a fun way to show your love for the show! And the ornament looks really great, whether or not you know what it is. Great job! And that Christmas tree is impressive!

I really love themed Christmas trees like this. I did a Frozen tree last year, and it was beautiful, just like this one.

Although I don't know much about Doctor Who, I'll admit that that's a very crafty tree and unique tree.

I don't watch Doctor Who but so many people I know do and love it. Maybe I'll have to do it over holiday break.

I wish I was this organized when it comes to tree decorating. But my kids are still small so they like to decorate

These look great and seem so straightforward to make! Not a doctor who fan myself but would love to make this for someone who was 🙂
