Free Printable Hogwarts Letter

October 11, 2016 by Wifeeclectic 60 Comments

There is not a Harry Potter fan alive that wouldn’t love to see a Hogwarts Letter with their name on it delivered by owl. This fun printable can be the realization of that dream or a fun decoration for a Harry Potter party!

The letter is taken straight from the book down to the emerald green writing on the letter. The name is left off of the actual letter so you can fill in it for your little witch or wizard.

There are a couple of different ways you can bring this letter. I printed mine on parchment paper, but it is a little more expensive at the store. If you don’t want to have to spring for the more expensive paper, you can print the printable that has a parchment background on tan or ivory paper. That will give you the parchment look without the extra price. You may need to trim the edges if you choose that option.

You will need:

  • Ivory or Off White Envelopes
  • Off White Paper or Parchment Paper
  • The Printables at the End of This Post
  • a brown stamp pad (optional)

After you print your letters you can add smudges on the edges with a brown stamp pad to truly give it that parchment paper feel. Add the name of the recipient to the top of the letter and fold it up and put it in the envelope.

If you want to hang some from your ceiling for a easy photo back drop simply use fishing line so they look like they are floating!

I must confess, I've never read a Harry Potter book or watched one of the movies. It's not really my thing, but I still admire the dedication of the series fans. I bet there are many Harry Potter lovers out there who would adore receiving these.

The address can’t be customized at this time. It should pop up in a new window when you put your name on. If you have pop ups blocked, it won’t come up.
