Growing up, my parents instilled me a work ethic, a love of reading and writing and of course a deep love of everything Disney. I think almost every vacation we took as children involved Mickey Mouse in some aspect. My first trip to Disneyland ended up with the chicken pox for me, but it was a great trip anyway because it was at Disneyland.
We went to Disneyland quite a few times throughout my childhood.
And Disney World in my teenage years. How many people can say they were photo bombed by Pluto?
I love Disney so much that my husband took me to Disneyland on our Honeymoon. We rode almost every single ride in one day. He begged me to slow down after that. I guess not everybody gets an adrenaline rush at Disneyland.
When my daughter was two weeks old, we took her to meet Mickey for the first time. Yes, you read right, she was two weeks old.
Sadly, we haven’t made it back to see Mickey since, so when I heard Disney on Ice was coming to Salt Lake City, I knew we had to go. My daughter is so excited to see Mickey ice skate that she couldn’t sleep last night, I think I have done my job right. I don’t know if I have the heart to tell her it isn’t for another week…
Disney on Ice will be in Salt Lake City November 14- November 18th at the Energy Solutions Arena. You can buy tickets at all SmithTix locations or at the Energy Solutions Box Office. Not in Salt Lake City? Go here to find out when Disney on Ice will be by you.
(I was given tickets to Disney on Ice in exchange for this post, but all opinions are mine, if you can’t tell from all my pictures. 🙂

We went to Disney on Ice several times when I was a kid, and I LOVED it. I remember going to one right after Little Mermaid came out with a giant sea witch. This makes me excited to take CB in a few years!

You sound like a dear friend of mine – to this day, and she's older than you, she uses any excuse for a trip to Disneyland!

Folks think I'm a bit … well, odd, to be polite. But I love the Disney princesses! As opposed to chick flicks, where helpless damsels need rescuing, those princesses are smart, strong, savvy, brave. Definitely a fan … 🙂
