Just last week, my sister-in-law welcomes a sweet new baby into their family. My kids are over the moon excited about a new cousin and I love all of the baby snuggles that come when a family member has a baby. She didn’t have a baby shower with this little one, because it is baby number three but I love doing something special for all babies so I pulled together this diaper cake full of clothes and of course diapers! I always loved when friends and family gave us diapers for our little ones and so I always try to return the favor, but it a super cute way. You can find some of the other cute diaper gifts I have done here (Bathtub Diaper Cake, Diaper Roses)
You will need:
- a laundry basket
- rope or cord
- a hot glue gun
- bamboo skewers or dowels
- Huggies Diapers in a Size 1 or 2
- rubber bands
- baby socks
- onesies and other baby clothes
- clothespins
I picked up Huggies Little Snuggles for our basket because they are my absolute favorite diapers for my newborns and the diapers are the best part of the gift! I also picked up a packaged of body suits, a hooded towel ,that I know my sister-in-law is going to love because she is a giraffe nut, and a package of cute socks! You could also include laundry detergent, hangers, pajamas or anything else cute that strikes your fancy.
Roll each diaper into a tight bundle and secure with a rubber band like in the photo below.
Stand the diapers up and fill the basket with them , filling every available space.
Take a bamboo skewer and wrap cord or the top part of the stick, hot gluing as you go. Leave three or so inches and then wrap the other end of the cord or rope around the other skewer. Push the skewers into the diapers, making sure they are far enough apart to be taut.
Top the basket with the clothes, hangers or other things you have bought for the mom to be.
Use clothes pins to clip socks to the clothes line to complete the look.
When we went to go Huggies Little Snugglers at Sam’s Club for this present, it kind of struck be that it was the end of an era and the beginning of one all at the same time. We went to get diapers for a brand new baby and pick up Pull-Ups for my three-year-old who is going to start potty training next week and my toddler totally rolled her eyes at me when I made her take these photos, another way she is growing up way too fast! Another reason we headed to Sam’s Club was because we needed diapers, Little Swimmers and Pull-Ups and right now you will instantly save $10 off any two, or $18 off any three diapers, wipes, and pants. I love making the money I spend on diapers go a little farther!
I love that at Sam’s Club, I can easily get what I need to last me an entire month. Whether it be diapers, Little Swimmers or Pull-Ups. They also make it easier on mom’s with my favorite option ever! The Scan & Go app makes me never want to shop anywhere else? Have you tried it yet? It is incredible. Simply scan your items with the app as you put them into your cart, it keeps your total for you so you can see what you are spending as you go and no surprise at the check out. When you are ready to go, check out on your phone and then show your digital reciept at the door. You literally do not have to go through the checkout. This app is the best invention ever.
Sam’s Club also offers Club Pickup. Select items marked “pick up in club” online, the employees will pull everything for you on your list. Check out on the app and then simply drive through and pick up your stuff. Either way, skip the checkout! If you don’t even want to have to leave your house, right now for a limited time there is free shipping for online orders!
Check out your local Sam’s Club Club Pick-Up and/or Scan & Go options to spend less time shopping, and more time building memories with your little ones.

That is such a cool feature to be able to scan in the store like that! How cool – I wish that was around when my kids were younger! I remember buying diapers and swim diapers and all that other stuff in bulk, I would try to stock up on as much as possible to cut down on trips to the store.
