Love Bug Snack Pack®

You should have heard the groans when I told my daughter that Christmas break was over and it was time to go back to school. But her groans quickly turned to joy when she started talking about seeing her friends and the silly little things I love to make for her lunches. She loves when I turn her snacks into something else and leave little love notes for her. One day she will start rolling her eyes at them, but, until then, I am going to embrace the fun.

We are in full on Valentine’s mode in our house already and we are having so much fun. I love Valentine’s Day. We don’t go out, we stay in and we make a special dinner all together. We give each of our girls a small gift and make their lunches special. I love that this holiday is about love and kindness. We don’t go over the top, we just make sure that everyone feels loved and appreciated. This year, I have been working on ideas for the days leading up to Valentines in my daughter’s lunches and we fell in love with these little love bugs. They are so easy to make! They would be perfect for a Valentine’s Party in a class or just for fun!

 You will need:

  • Vanilla Snack Pack®
  • red, white and pink pipe cleaners
  • red, white and pink small pom-poms
  • red, white and pink foam or foam hearts
  • small googly eyes
  • scissors
  • hot glue

Using either hearts cut out from the foam or use pre-cut heart shapes, hot glue 2 hearts to the bottom of each Snack Pack®.

Cut a pipe cleaner in half and then fold each segment in half. Hot glue the folded segment to the back of the Snack Pack®.

Hot glue a pom-pom to the top of each end of the pipe cleaner. Add googly eyes and a smaller heart nose to the front. Finish the Love Bug by writing a sweet note to your love bug on the back and you have a super sweet lunch treat!

This winter, take a moment to slow down and enjoy a tasty and fun treat with the kids. Snack Pack® comes in a variety of flavors and offers endless mix-in opportunities the kids can help prepare. Each serving of Snack Pack® is fortified with as much calcium as an 8-oz glass of milk,* so you can feel good about serving your kids Snack Pack®. For mix-in inspiration, visit Snack Pack on Pinterest (pinterest.com/snackpack) and Facebook (facebook.com/SnackPackPudding).

** All Snack Pack products contain 30% DV calcium, with the exception of Bakery Shop Lemon Meringue Pie, Lemon Pudding, and Snack Pack Gels.

What is your favorite Snack Pack® mix-in?

What a fun idea. Either to make for kids or to have kids make themselves.

I don't know why, but I've been seeing a lot of things that are using googly eyes. This is a really cute craft for the kiddies to do. I haven't had a snack pack in a long time.
