Metallic Halloween Flower Arrangement

September 21, 2015 by Wifeeclectic 17 Comments

Take a dollar store pumpkin and with a little paint you can have this gorgeous Metallic Pumpkin flower arrangement. Perfect centerpiece for Halloween.

Life is hectic in our part of the world right now. We are planning a move sometime in the next couple of weeks and since we aren’t moving that far away, we have been doing it in stages. It has been both time consuming and exhausting. I am never moving again. Seriously.

Halloween is our absolute favorite holiday. Some people budget for Christmas. I budget for Halloween. We usually do an entire themed family costume, this year we are planning on Star Wars and I am thrilled! I can’t wait to see how it turns out. I wanted some new Halloween decorations this year, but they needed to be simple and fantastic. This is what I came up with. I am absolutely in love, they turned out better than I imagined and they were SO affordable to make. Just a few dollars for each arrangement!

Metallic Pumpkin Flower Arrangement

You will need:

  • Dollar Store Pumpkins
  • Dollar Store Roses in purple and black (there are three bundles in each pumpkin, two black and one purple.)
  • Metallic Spray Paint
  • Wire Cutters
Use a dollar store pumpkin for a Metallic Pumpkin flower arrangement.
First pop the stem off the top of the pumpkin. It just makes it easier to work with. Then using metallic spray paint, spray the entire pumpkin silver. I have found the easiest way to do this is to stick a stick inside the top of the pumpkin and then stick it in the grass. It allows you to spray the entire pumpkin in one coat.

Easy dollar store Metallic Pumpkin flower arrangement.
Using wire cutters, cut apart the roses from the stem, since the pumpkins are short, cutting them off the stem is the easiest way to arrange the flowers. Stick the flowers all over the top of them pumpkin making sure to separate the purple flowers from each other. Finish the arrangement off by adding sprigs with plastic spiders on them to complete the look.
What is your favorite dollar store Halloween decoration?

Those are actually kind of pretty–I wouldn't mind having one or two in my apartment all year long. They do seem simple to make!

Oh these are great, I am trying them for sure!! I love halloween, but it isn't big in Australia, so I have never really gone all out with it. Taking full advantage of being in the U.S. this year 🙂

OK, that flower arrangement is gorgeous with the black and purple colors. The spider adds just the right touch. This is definitely something I can see in my home. Pinned this!
