Today I am sharing the fourth post in the Printable Quiet Book Series. These cute little paper dolls are a fun activity for any little one. There is a full set that is already full of life and color and then a blank set that is just waiting for your little artist to add their take to.
These dolls are my very favorite part of the printable quiet book series and the best is still yet to come later this week. Look for more clothes and doll add ons throughout the week.
From the first post: When our first daughter was little, I painstakingly made a felt quiet book. I spent hours cutting out pieces and hand embroidering, it took me months. My daughter loved it and played with it often, but I always wished it was easier to add pages to it. I wanted to add new pieces and new pages, but it seemed like a daunting task.
Our second daughter is just at the age now where I am wishing for a quiet book again. When I started saving ideas and thinking about what I wanted to do for her book, I realized that a printable quiet book would be so much easier. It would be perfect for people who don’t think of themselves as crafty and it would be easy to add more pages to if I wanted to later. So the printable quiet book was born.
Between my husband and I, we have finally completed the book and I am in love with it. There are paper dolls and play sets and all sort of amazing that doesn’t take more than some printing and cutting.
You will need:
- The Printables at the end of this post
- Scissors and crayons (if you are printing the blank ones)
- magnet strips, velcro or small piece of felt
- a glue gun
- a Laminator and Laminating sheets (I love my Scotch Laminator)
Print both the clothes and the figures. Cut out the figures and then laminate the clothes, hair, shoes and dolls. There are several ways you can make the clothes stick to the figures. You can add small squares of felt to the back of each figure and several squares on the background. You can also use velcro squares instead of felt. I prefer to use magnet tape on the doll and the clothes.
After you cut out and laminate the hair pieces. Use a small dab of hot glue to secure the bangs to the back of the hair. You want to use just a small dab so that you can actually slide the doll in between the front and back piece. That way you don’t have to use magnets to hold the hair on.
These little dolls don’t have a page to belong to in the quiet book yet, but they will later in the week. Check back for pages that you can add to your quiet book for these dolls.

Aw…these are so adorable and I love paper dolls! Something about the simplicity of them and the million ways to be creative with them that always draws me to them!
When I was a little girl, paper dolls were one of my favorite things to play with. My grandmother used to make clothes for me out of wallpaper scraps.
I remember as a kid playing with paper dolls. they were my go to toy.

As a child I spent hours and hours playing paper dolls. I can remember my mother making them for me from old pattern books. This is so fun!

This brings back childhood memories. I loved playing paper dolls with my mom until my brother would come blow them away like a "tornado"!
I'm making a Quiet Book for my son right now too. But I'm using a glue gun over hand embroidering other for some key pieces. Even that is taking forever. I'm thinking of attaching the pages to a binder ring, so I could add and remove pages along the way.

These are precious! I don't have any little girls in my life right now but I know some grown ups that would love this just as much, if not for any other reason than to reflect on our childhood.
