I made this page to give my little girl a place to race her cars. It is so super easy that I didn’t even make a pattern.
You will need:
a sheet of felt to serve as a background- I used green so that it would represent grass
most of a sheet of black felt for the road
Scraps of other colors to make your buildings and such
I measured my roads to be the length of the sheet of felt and two inches wide. I sewed them in the angle I wanted and then added the yellow paint lines. The house/hospital are 3 inch squares which I then embellished according to which building it was.
Time Commitment– I think this whole page only took me about 20 minutes and that includes cutting time. It is an easy page and a good one to start with if you are a timid sewer.
What would I change if I were to do it again– I would make it two pages so there would be more space to race the cars. I have a wonderful idea about this that I get to share soon hopefully!

I love it. And I love that the two landmarks are home and the hospital. So very customized for your family. 🙂

I keep thinking I need to make some of these but I am always intimidated by things like this. You made it seem very simple! I think I could do this! Thanks!

I just love these 'quiet books' that I'm seeing. They're such a great idea, and I always like these home-made ones better because of their uniqueness!

Can you direct me to your very first quiet book post. I've been reading and bookmarking (no sewing machine) the ideas for several weeks now but I still haven't figured out if these are put together in some sort of binding or individual sheets in a folder or what….
TIA
