I may be obsessed with limeade. I can’t remember the last time I made a pitcher of lemonade in my house. We used to have different friends over for dinner every week when we lived in Texas, and I was always delighted at the looks of their faces when they realized that the delicious lemonade was actually limeade. It is my absolutely favorite drink.
I have spent most of my life drinking it non-carbonated which I thought was the best way, until I tried these. This drink is easy to make and simply incredible. Delicious and refreshing. My husband begs me to make these and I have run out to the store just for these ingredients before. This drink can be made diet, which has about 90 calories, or normally with regular soda.
For one 12 oz Drink:
- One can diet or regular lemon lime soda, cold
- 1/2 a lime
- 2 teaspoons strawberry flavoring (I use Torani’s)
Add the juice of half a lime to a cold lemon lime soda, add two teaspoons of flavoring. Don’t mix, allow the flavoring to settle and then enjoy!
For a 2- liter punch bowl:
- 2 liters of cold diet or regular lemon lime soda
- 3 limes
- 10 teaspoons strawberry flavoring
Add the juice of 3 limes to the cold lemon lime soda. Add 10 teaspoons of flavoring. Don’t mix together, allow the flavoring to settle and then enjoy.
Who knew that something so simple could be so delicious!
