You will need:
Steak, cut into strips. I have used thin cut steak and cube steak. You just don’t want really thick steaks.
An onion, peeled and sliced
A green bell pepper, cleaned out and sliced.
a package of mushrooms, sliced
Shredded or sliced Swiss cheese. I prefer to used shredded.
Add a couple of tablespoons of butter to a hot pan. Add the onions and peppers first. Stir for about five minutes and then add the mushrooms. Stir for 2-3 minutes longer. You want your vegetables to start to brown a little bit. Then brown the meat, in a couple more tablespoons of butter, in the same pan as the veggies. Add the Worcestershire sauce. I usually add about 1/4 – 3/4 a cup, depending on how much meat you have in your pan. Add the veggies back into the pan with the meat. Stir together. Place on toasted buns. I usually toast mine by adding butter to a pan and toasting them on the stove top. Add the cheese to the top of your sandwich and it is ready to eat.
