There are few foods my husband loves more than bread. Corn bread, bread sticks, rolls, you name it. He loves it. The one thing I don’t love about his bread obsession, is how much time homemade bread can add to a meal. This simple and easy cornbread recipe let’s me add a bread element to dinner without adding time for rising or kneading and it has a sweet element that my 5-year-old loves.
You will need:
- 2 and 1/4 Cups flour
- 1 and 1/8 Cups sugar
- 1 and 1/2 Cups Cornmeal
- 3 eggs
- 2 and 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 and 1/4 Cups milk
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 C. oil
Mix all of the dry ingredients together then add the wet ingredients. Add to a greased 9×13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out of the center clean.
What is your go to bread recipe?
Corn bread is usually too dry for me, but this looks super moist. I might have to try this one. Thanks!
