Tasty Tuesdays- Caramelized Pork

April 12, 2011 by Wifeeclectic 1 Comment

This random combination of ingredients results in one of the most delightful pork renditions I have ever put in my mouth. I seriously love this dish and if you like pork at all, I am sure you will too because it also has the extra benefit of being quick and easy to make! I usually pair it with garlic mashed potatoes.

1 pound of pork tenderloin, cut into 1/2 inch slices
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 T. brown sugar
1 T. orange juice
1 T. syrup (yes, the maple stuff you put on pancakes.)
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper

Cook pork and garlic until the pork is slightly pink in the center or about 7 minutes on medium-high heat. Drain and then stir in remaining ingredients. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the pork is well coated.
