(I have to give credit to my friend Jan on this one. She is the one who gave me the idea of using the Alfredo sauce and some of the veggies.)
Every Friday night is pizza night at my parent’s house. It has been tradition for as long as I can remember. Now, my parents order the pizza but when I was young and my dad was still in school, my mom made the pizza. This is her dough recipe that I still use and love.
1 Tablespoon yeast
1 cup warm water
1 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons oil
3 cups f lour
3 Tablespoons sugar>
Mix dough and let rest. Mix sauce and warm to desired temperature. Roll out dough.
Get two packets of Alfredo sauce and make according to directions. Slather on the pizza dough (this makes two pizzas or one 9×13 pan pizza). Put sliced tomatoes, chopped baby spinach leaves on and then the cheese. Finish off the pizza with pepperoni, cooked crumbled bacon, and olives. Cook the pizza at 400 until the crust browns. Top the pizza with sliced avocado.
In actually, you can make this with any topping you want, but try the Alfredo as the sauce and the dough. They are yummy!

You know, I have always wanted pizza nights at home, but store bought stuff gets so expensive. I will have to try that recipe for the dough.

Okay. I made this. Best. Recipe. Ever.
I didn't use your toppings, but the crust was fantastic! (even though I maybe, perhaps, might have killed the dough by leaving it out too long.. oops… you could barely taste the alcohol-aftertaste.. ha ha. I'm sure it will be even better when I get it RIGHT).
I've been experimenting with different dough recipes because I really like pizza but don't want to order it any more. I was even convinced I need to spend money on a stone or special pan to get a good pizza. No ma'am! This was delicious baked on my regular old cookie sheet, and so easy! I just whipped up the dough in the bread machine.
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing! I had to come back and search your site for the recipe just so I could tell you how much I love it. We're having pizza night again tomorrow! 🙂
(if I sound like I'm drooling it's because I'm imagining tomorrow's dinner… hee hee)
