Peel and core your fresh pineapple. Then cut the pineapple into halves or quarters. I think quarters is better because there is more surface area and more of the pineapple can be glazed but that is just me.
Recipe 1-
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon lime juice
Combine and brush the sides of the pineapple and allow to sit for a few minutes while grill preheats. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side and then brush with any left over marinade.
Recipe 2-
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 tablespoon honey
Combine and follow instructions for recipe one.
Personally, I like the honey/tangy taste of recipe one, so that is what my husband and I use. I thought I would throw the other one we have used out there in case anyone prefers it. Not my favorite but OK.
oooohhh…this reminds me of our travels through SE asia…yum!
Our kids love pineapple…gonna try this! Will be picking up a pineapple the next time I go to the store!
I love grilled pineapple – though I've never tried it like this. Thanks for sharing!
Love grilled pineapple . . . but I forgot that I did. We haven't done this yet this summer, so time to go to the store. Thanks for the reminder!
This looks great! My son is always pointing out the pineapple. Now I have some ways to use it. Stopping from SITS!
Yum. We love pineapple in pretty much any form. Remember that time we bought a pineapple and had to borrow a knife that was big enough to cut it? And then we chopped it into small pieces because we had no idea how to actually cut a pineapple? Yeah, good times. 🙂
Hey girl, here is just another way to try this. I loved grilled fresh pineapple, but I sprinkle it with a sugar & cinnamon mixture. I also like slicing my pineapple so I have more surface area for the sugar/cinnamon.
