Tasty Tuesdays- A spin on your tuna sandwich

March 23, 2010 by Wifeeclectic 8 Comments

Do you love tuna sandwiches? This is how my husband and I make them and they are delicious!

2 cans tuna, drained
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/4 chopped green onion
Hamburger buns

Toast the hamburger buns in your toaster. Combine the other ingredients and stir until well mixed. Spoon onto buns and devour you tasty tuna sandwich. The ranch is so much better than mayo. Try it! Delicious!

I never would have thought of ranch instead of mayo, I bet I could get my hubby to eat tuna sandwiches this way!

Yum! The celery reminds me of a chicken salad sandwich. Which I am now craving. Hopefully this tuna sandwich will do the trick. 🙂

We always use ranch, and I also put a little dijon mustard and lemon juice in for a kick. We don't do celery, I cut up pickles instead, add some tomato and mozzarella cheese and grill- mmmmm we make this like every week at my parent-in-laws house.

Um, can I just say that I love you??? I haven't been able to stomach mayo since the morning sickness of my pregnancy (two YEARS ago!), hence no tuna salad. But ranch is brilliant!!!

Cool. I will try that! I make mine with diced apples and onions, sprinkle with lemon pepper and salt. So good. I love tuna…I might try your version today!

So, I was planning on having tuna this week anyway, but THANKS TO YOUR INSPIRATION: We had it on a toasted bun for lunch this afternoon – SO DELICOUS! Thanks for the tip!
