We had a under water photo backdrop, for fun and silly pictures, complete with a Singing Ariel and Flounder to be in the pictures. The kids LOVED the . She was perfect for the photos and she sings Under the Sea which the kids loved.
This darling little Flounder Toy came with the Ariel doll above and the kids adored him. I love that he was big enough that I didn’t need to worry about the little kids playing with him.
After pictures, we played Pin the Tail on the Mermaid.
We used melty beads to make our own Ariel and ocean creatures. The older kids made Ariel and the younger kids used shaped bead trays to make fish. If you are having smaller children at your event, they make larger melty beads, my 4-year-old didn’t have any problem creating the dolphin you see here.
We played musical fish, with some cut out fish and our favorite Little Mermaid chair.
We then, of course, watched The Little Mermaid.
Whenever I make a cake for a children’s birthday party, I prefer to make a small cake and cupcakes for the kids. Cupcakes are so much easier to serve to children and they can be so much fun. The Little Mermaid Story Set made perfect cupcake toppers and after they decorated the cake, my daughter had some darling toys to add her Disney figures. My daughter absolutely loved that the figures stand up on their own and the Ursula is glittery!
We used bottles of Princess Bubble Bath as the party favors. I thought they would be used more than the little things you usually find in a party favor bag.

This turned out so cute! And I love how simple it was, sometimes parties can be unnecessarily difficult. I now wish I had a little girl to paper with a Princess party. Thanks for sharing!
