Tis the Season of Christmas Cards and Colds

It’s that time of year! The time that is filled with Christmas cheer and lots of colds! I don’t know about your house, but it seems like my kids are always coming down with something right around Christmas time. I almost feel like our Christmas Cards need to be turned into get well soon cards. Ricola Cool Relief is my secret weapon.

This combination of Swiss Alpine Herbs, lemon, and natural menthol is just what I need when I am feeling down. They provide Ricola’s strongest relief with 3X the natural menthol of Ricola Original Natural Herb Drops. They not only cool down your throat but also your nasal passages making them soothing for a bad cold. Download a coupon to try them for yourself at the end of this post.

Now that you have Ricola to help you out, let’s make those Christmas cards (instead of get well soon cards.)

Housewife Eclectic: Easy DIY Christmas Cards

Easy DIY Christmas Cards

You will need:

  • blank cards (you can purchase these or make them by folding a piece of cardstock in half and then half again)
  • colorful dots (2 inch and 1 inch)
  • small Christmas shapes (stars)
  • a black marker
  • glue

You can create your circles in a variety of ways. You can trace something round and then cut them out with scissors. You can use a large hole punch or a cutting machine like I did.

Fold several of your larger circles in half.

Add a line of glue down the back crease of your circle and place it in the center front of your card.

Add a strip of glue down the back center of your other circles and place them around your middle circle.

The goal is to make a very full, 3D half-circle. For the little circles, this takes 3-4 folded circles. For the bigger, I have used anywhere from 3-9 to get the look that I wanted. After you have finished gluing all of your circles to your card, take a black marker and draw a square at the top center of your circle, on the card. Then draw a loop, connecting corner to corner on your square. This will finish off your ornament! You can add more ornaments, (big or small), or leave it alone!

Take the smaller circle cutouts as well as star-shaped stickers or cutouts and glue them in a line across the front of your card.

Add a square and loop to each circle to make your ornament and that’s it! You have a darling card ready to send out. Housewife Eclectic: Easy DIY Christmas Cards
