You Make My Heart Soar – Free Printable Airplane Valentine

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I absolutely can’t wait! I never loved Valentine’s Day before I had children, but now I can’t get enough of the red, pink and white.  I love cutting out red construction paper hearts with my daughters and covering them with glitter for their dad and I love designing the valentines my girls will give to their friends.  Every year I pull together a handful of different options, they are just so much fun to make.

This airplane valentines is perfect to pair with a fun little paper glider. Kids love them and they are affordable!

For this Valentine you will need:

  • the printable found at the end of this post
  • paper gliders (we used these provided by Oriental Trading)
  • scissors
  • bakers twine
  • a single hole punch

Print and cut out the paper valentine. Have you child address them to each child in their class. Punch a hole in the corner of the Valentine and a hole in the plastic of the paper glider. Use a small amount of bakers twine threaded through both holes to tie a bow!

Your kids will have a blast putting together this fun candyless valentine and the kids who receive them will love building their airplane and racing!

That's really neat. I love it when a Valentine's Day idea is different. The same old cards and candy gets old after a while.

Those are so cute! Boys and girls alike would love them. I used to make my daughter's Valentine's to take to school, but now that we homeschool we don't do them anymore. I may have to make these for our homeschool group!

I love this idea. So cute! I love that its a little plane and not a treat. Kids get so many treats for Valentine's, this is a great alternative. Thanks for sharing.
