Crockpot Cream Cheese Chicken

This recipe is delicious home cooking at its finest. This is my daughter’s absolute favorite meal and she begs us to make it every week. The best part about this meal is that it reheats fabulously too, so if you have extras, you have a great lunch for the next day too.

You will need:

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 pkg. Italian salad dressing mix
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz. package cream cheese
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 -2 packages of bowtie pasta

Add water, Italian salad dressing mix, 1 tsp. Italian Seasoning and melted butter to the crockpot. Mix well. Add chicken and coat with mixture. Put lid on and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours.

Remove chicken and cut into bite-size pieces. Set chicken aside.Soften cream cheese. Mix in soup, milk, and 2 tsp. Italian seasoning. Stir until smooth. (You can warm the cream cheese in microwave for 2 minutes to help get mixture smooth) Add to the sauce that is in the crock-pot and mix well. Add chicken and stir. Cook 1 hour on low. Cook 1-2 packages of bowtie pasta according to directions, depending on how many people you are feeding.

Add a layer of noodles to a plate and then top with the cream cheese chicken and serve immediately. You can store the leftovers in a container with the cream cheese chicken already over the noodles and just warm up later.

What is one of your favorite crockpot meals?

This sounds amazing you have got a vegetarian salivating over meat that is saying something. Mind you it might be because it has the word cream cheese in it I love my cheese lol.

Hahaha I made a vegan chik'n one pot pasta friday and posted about it today! Must be the temperature making us crave pasta! Plus one pot cooking is always better – less dishes!
