A delicious, gluten free, guacamole bacon burger full of homemade guac and freshly cooked bacon.
Gluten Free Guacamole Bacon Burger
I am on a mission to replace all of my favorite foods with amazing gluten free options! From Wingers Sticky Fingers to Fish Tacos and Lo Mein, I want to eat my favorite foods. I finally mastered the Guacamole Bacon Burger and I am so excited. We had these for lunch last week and they were amazing! I think I am going to be adding them to the menu this week too.
For the Burger You Will Need:
- 100% Beef Hamburger Patties, Grilled to your preference
- Soft White Rolls by BFree, Be Wheat and Gluten Free
- 1 package of bacon
- Swiss Cheese
You the Guacamole will need:
- 3-4 medium Avocados, with the skins and pits removed
- 1.5 medium jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped (seeds are what make your jalapenos hot, so make sure to seed them well unless you want super spicy guac.)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 clove of garlic finely chopped (optional, but I really like it)
- 1/4 of an onion finely chopped
- salt
Guacamole Instructions
Add the onion, garlic and the jalapeños to the food processor and chop to make sure everything is really fine. Add 3 avocados and then chop again. Taste your guacamole, if the onion or jalapeño is too strong, add the fourth avocado. Lastly add your lemon juice and mix until everything is a smooth consistency.
Bacon Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and then lay out the bacon on the cookie sheet in one layer. Bake the bacon for 10 minutes, pull the bacon out flip it and then cook it for another 5 minutes.
I use BFree Gluten Free Dinner Rolls whenever I want a hamburger and they are absolutely perfect. A good size, soft and the best part? They don’t fall apart while you eat them. Almost every single gluten free bun falls apart as you eat and so I love that these don’t. Since I am the only one in my family who is gluten free, I keep a package of them in my freezer and then pull a couple out when we make burgers and toast them in a pan before adding my toppings.
Slather your bun with guacamole, tear the bacon into small strips and load up the burger. Add the patty with melted Swiss cheese on top and you have one heck of a burger. You can add your other favorite toppings too. I usually throw a couple of pickles on for good measure.
