You will need:
- Scrabble Tiles
- Barrettes
- Hot Glue
- Shelf Lining
Old Scrabble games you to be easy to find at thrift stores and yard sales but as Scrabble crafting has become more and more popular, it has become a lot harder! Your best bet it to order them from Amazon. You can usually get 200 tiles for less than $10.
These barrettes worked best with letters that were four letters long. If you want to look for barrettes that are longer or shorter, you can or you can add blank tiles onto shorter words to make them fill the entire barrette. To fulfill my daughter’s desire to have nerdy hair things, we went with Star Wars.
Cut a small strip of shelf lining and hot glue it on the inside of your barrette or clip to make the clip no slip. This will help it stay even in extremely fine hair.
What would you put on a clip?

How creative! Ok, so this is not something I would have thought of, but simple, cool and unique. Awesome idea.
We don't really put clips in our hair because of our hair texture but I love this idea. This is perfect for all Star Wars fans.
Cute idea! I would probably put "Faith, hope and Love" on ours for our girls.
They aren't really into star wars yet but we are working on them!
This is such a cute idea! I think it would be perfect for Star Wars fans, and for those that aren't into star wars I am sure there are a many other words that could be used!
I love this idea! My daughter (3) is obsessed with letters right now and I bet this would be a good way to get her to keep them in.
Omg how cute!!!!! I was just crafting last weekend with scrabble pieces!!!
Those are so fun. Those would be so cute for a game night or game themed birthday party for the girls to make!

What a super fun idea! You could do this for anything and I love it!
Very creative and fun. I don't know what I might put on my clip … it would be fun to decorate the tiles and make art, too.
This is such a cute idea for the Star Wars buff. I love that it is such a simple craft that you could make other words too.
LOL…I love scrabble very much but this is one trend that I am not going to be following anytime soon…
